Whats wrong with eating carp? I've bashed plenty of trout on the head and eaten them before. I like fish and would try anything once. I ate some zander on my latest trip to Poland. Smile

I dont know, I think I would try it, just not our own carp what we have grown, loved and caught! Sad

The thing is, when our fish have spawned and we have loads of little inchling fish in Horseshoe Lake and I have put some trout in,

Would you kill the trout to eat them??? Question Idea cyclops Shocked

I have the Polish fishing magazine that Ste brought over.
In it there are piccies of fish (cos I cant read Polish) that are good fish. We would be very happy to catch them, but they are DEAD!!!! pale Rolling Eyes
Tench, roach, bream etc.
Piccies taken in the front room etc.

Poles and other eastern EU countries eat coarse fish, Carp were brought over here in the 10th centuary by monks for food.
Question: Why did we stop eating coarse fish??
Some people still eat jack pike, I have heard of a few living locally who like pike.

Maybe Im soft, but it would feel like eating my goldfish affraid What a Face Crying or Very sad

..... at the next MAD BBQ I might do some coarse fish burgers and see if anyone notices hahahahaha
