Had a chub about 2lb and an eel about 18 inches long. Both were caught on ledgered luncheon meat. I went to sleep in the car at about 12.30am. Woke up at about 6.30am next day and went off in search of some pike with float-fished deadbaits. Had 5 runs and 3 fish. Biggest was 12lb then a 8lber and a 4lber. Went back to my barbel peg and tried again. Got a bite and played a good fish into the net....but it turned out to be another pike weighing about 9-10lb, ... Where have you been fishing? Bait will be needed by all those who attend. Only 2 people are exempt from supplying their own bait, they know who they are and the reasons, so please bring enough for your lessons. The baits needed were worm, caster & maggot. Alot of fish were caught, nobody blanked. The fish ranged from little perch and medium roach to personal best carp and a new club record perch! Paul Dockray landed his club record perch weighing 4lb 14oz. It was a blooming big fish!!!
